It’s been a busy old week for the Poppy PR team, we can hardly believe it’s Friday already. We started the week by meeting with Craig from Your IT Department, who won our competition for a free press release. The company are doing great at the moment and we have written the story, ready to be sent out soon.
On Tuesday we visited St Martin’s Church in Allenton to meet with some of the team who are overseeing the building’s transformation into a community hub. Lots of hard work has gone into the project and we look forward to seeing the end result. We will, of course, be writing about it.
One of our long-term clients has been announced as a finalist in the Midlands Family Business Awards. We went along to the Priest House Hotel on Wednesday on the company’s behalf to find more about the judging process. We are keeping our fingers crossed for a win.
The rest of the week consisted of meetings with potential new clients, taking photos for stories for existing clients, speaking to national and regional press about a great story which will see someone win a house for the price of a £10 raffle ticket. There has also been lots of cake consumed, mainly by Tina who is eating for two. Speaking of cakes, we will be holding our Macmillan coffee morning on September 29. This will be a great networking opportunity. Sarah B will be perfecting her chocolate orange brownies this weekend.
We’ve got lots of exciting stuff coming up. On Monday we are having new team photographs taken by Cathy from Oehlers Photography. We can’t wait to see them. Look out for them on the website. At the start of next month Poppy PR are taking a road trip to Liverpool following an invite from one of our clients to Liverpool Fashion Week. We will also be going to The Build Show and The Care Show at the NEC in Birmingham.
