Before Christmas, Colwick-based packaging firm, The Wilkins Group was been crowned ‘Family Business of the Year’ at the 10th Midlands Family Business Awards.
The Wilkins Group specialises in the printing of folding cartons and packaging for a range of industries and brands worldwide, and employs over 500 people operating from five global sites in Nottingham, Romania, China, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
Poppy-PR has been working with the company now for over five years to deliver both PR and marketing to the team, and this awards submission was just one of our many projects for them- and we won!
Winning awards can be so fantastic for a business and it can certainly open many doors! Since winning this prestigious award, the team have been featured on BBC Radio Derby, had Packaging News visit the Wilkins Group HQ for a double page spread, and they have now been asked to contribute towards the 2020 Parliamentary Review! What an outcome!
