The future looks ‘Rosie’ for Ilkeston based Poppy-PR after signing a contract to deliver its PR services to Derbyshire based Vetcare @ Home.
The agency of animal lovers headed up by Tina Clough (34) is now set to lead the business into its third year with a string of services, including press releases and business award submissions.
Tina, who last year won a gong at The English Women’s Awards, said: “We met the director, John Rosie a year or two ago through a referral, and the time wasn’t quite for him to embark upon a PR contract with us. We are over the moon that he is now fully on board with us, and as a team of animal lovers, we cannot wait to start work on his campaign- after all who doesn’t love a cute animal story!”
John Rosie, director at Vetcare @ Home said: “I had no doubts about using Poppy-PR. It was plain to me that they were immensely thorough and that their attention to detail was first rate. Vetcare @ Home is a home-visiting mobile vet service which takes the stress out of taking your pet into a practice for treatment. The Team at Poppy-PR are fully behind the venture and are determined to promote the business to its ful potential when the contract starts later this month.
Tina continued: “As a dog owner of a spitely cocker spaniel called Poppy, I fully understand what John and the team are trying to achieve. Our dog gets terribly stressed when she goes to the vets, and I wouldn’t hessite to call Vetcare @ Home if we needed to.”
Tina founded Ilkeston based Poppy-PR in April, 2010, after working as Property Editor of the Nottingham Post, followed by a stint at a Nottingham-based digital marketing agency and other high-profile agencies in the city.
Since then, Poppy PR has flourished and last year, Tina was awarded the Young Achiever of the Year accolade at the English Women’s Awards.
The firm, based in Bath Street, has also just joined Marketing Derby, and offers traditional PR services, crisis communications, social media management, awards submissions and event organisation.
Tina said: “It has been a fantastic start to the ninth year in business for Poppy PR. The business is going from strength-to-strength. This latest contract is exciting and we cannot wait to get cracking!.”
